Week starting 18/03/24

For this week, it was all about research. I looked into different successful indie album covers and what made them successful. I made sure to have a diverse range of different album covers from different eras of music, so I can understand how trends and ideas develop and how to look back on the past to help me in the present. I also looked at more modern album covers for inspiration and made sure to focus on abstract themes. I did this so I could help visualise what style I wanted my album cover to be, and what design ideas I could use and reinterpret in my own work. I found this research to be very thought-provoking and challenging, making me really try to find what I thought was a good album cover and how i interpreted different meanings in their designs. However, it was an enjoyable experience nonetheless.
